Boudicca was the leader of an indigenous english tribe called the Iceni, who lived under Roman occupation. After the Romans savagely whipped Boudicca and raped her young daughters, she took her bloody revenge by leading her people into battle against them. She was ultimately captured, but poisoned herself, refusing to be taken alive.
